Course History

An idea developed in the mid 50’s by Sid and Edith Lee after taking up golf, and suggestions from a few of their golfing friends they made it a reality. On their unused farm and orchard they started construction in the fall of 1957.With the help of their 3 sons, family, and friends they opened with 6 holes in 1960. In 1963 with the addition of 3 holes and a small club house, it became Peace Pipe Country Club.

The Name

Many names were suggested by “everyone” but finally named by Mr. and Mrs. Lee. The Lees raised hunting dogs for a few years, and Mr. Lee’s favorite was Penny of Peace Pipe Farms. He dropped the Penny and Farms and called it Peace Pipe Country Club.
